STOMA EXPERT

Sjaak Sinnige, nurse and coordinator of Anneke  ICS  Home Care  has successfully completed the course “Handling of Stoma” with Aulascience,  an educational centre accredited by the National Health  System and destinated to medical staff.
The course contains technical knowledge of materials and how  to help and teach the patients   to become familiar with the stoma.

Sjaak says: “The patient support preferably has to start before the operation.  It is important to prepare the patient before surgery and then familiarize with the stoma. It’s a long process but professional support can prevent complications.
Many patients are already sick long before the operation. The good thing is that after the stoma  they  can start again with a healthy life! “
